I used to have neons before we stripped the car and re built it and I drove around all the time with them on. I never broke one on any humps and they weren't under car neons, just normal cheap ones. I never had anybody try and steal them and we just fitted them under the car, no special place or coverings.

However, saying that, I think this time I would use LED's.

The green and purple work well.

I've just received my purple LEDs for my Buell, now to fit them without my wife finding out...

And I might put some under the current project Mini, just to surprise (irritate) her. :lol:

ok i'm back i hate harleys with a passion BUT a buell OH BOY i got a woody just thinking bout it they are nearly as good as a ducati mhr or 860 gt or 900ss or my old 250 single :)

Thanks Makka, I LOVE my bike as much as my Mini's.

I got it because it looks like a Streetfighter (the "boss" wouldn't let me build another one), I love the Harley engine, but I also like to go through corners and be able to stop...

My old 860GTS was an adventure to ride though :)

Oh yeah, the engine is almost the same capacity as a Mini (983cc with my XB9S)
