RICE is a term that gets tossed around ... there is nothing wrong with jap spec appearance if its backed up with real ponies at the wheels.. its only if its all show and no go that it should even be considered rice.. imo

Like there's a Hyundai Excel lives around here- mad bodykit, big wing, big wheels, big gauges, clear lenses, he's got it all- except it's bone stock...

It's probably 20KMH slower than a stockie, dragging all that kit.. :P

I quote, from Street Machine several years back....

"Most boot mounted wings etc, dont begin to work untill around 250 odd K's, this is why its essential for all Honda/Hyundai drivers to have them fitted to their vehicles....."

*Cough* I Agree *Cough*

riceboys came from the term rice racers which is what all the jap bikes were called when they started winning all the bike races

i dont know how it turned derogatory because rice racers were winners.. jealousy i guess.. now rice boys are the "fast phat hyundais and hondas you see plaguing our streets these day)

check out www.riceboypage.com for more info on the latter

btw 100% rice free minivan... but i want a body kit.. need a stonkin engine conversion to keep under the rice radar though
