I have had a couple of cars like this, a fiat uno and a jaguar xj40, i love the single wiper!
BUT, a mini scren is too long and narrow for it to be easy, in the fiat, the wiper used to extend over the screen and roof as it was!

Merc use a spring loaded wiper, the inertia extends it at the corners so it gets the whole rectangular screen, also mezmorising to watch.

good luck, go for it!

I get cha, for some reason I thought u moved the wiper in the middle of the car, But what your saying is you put a late model wiper motor that parks on the oppisite side, and it moves 180degres?

yes.
Mine doesn't auto park though as the PO mucked the wiring up.
It's self parking, I park it myself.

Having non-self parking wipers can be quite handy at times. I was navigating for TSpeedJem in a rally about 15 years ago and the alternator failed. With the battery rapidly depleting and it bucketing with rain, my main job was to run the wipers, just giving it a single one-way sweep of the windscreen before turning them off for as long as possible. Mind you, we ended up turning off the lights and just following the sweep car out in the end. Happy days :?
