Ok so I'm in the process of getting my 12G295 head reconditioned and I bought a new set of standard valves for it. The seats all needed re-doing but when the machinist went to cut the new seats for the inlets the valves were too small :? He says I need a valve around 32mm diameter. Does anyone have any suggestions or part numbers that would be suitable? :)

You used to be able to get 1.250" inlets from Mini places but these valves are scarce now.
Check all the locals, and Minispares UK etc.

The last 295 I did like that I used 1100S inlets (33mm) and exhausts (29.4mm) but you need to turn the exhausts down to 27mm or they hit the block.
Note both these valves have longer stems and the 1275 narrow groove collets. It's not a cheap way to do it.

My 295 head it has barina/combo valves with stems modified to suit original collets and guides k lined as guides and seats were worn badly told me it was cheaper to do it that way than buying o/size valves & new guides can't remember what size the valve heads are but they are way bigger than stanard
