Thanks to Syd (Tspeed Jem), GR can now print a graph when he dynoes your motor.

Here's the one of my 1412 stroker (HS6 on RE7 manifold, RE13 cam, ToyoMini 1.46 rockers, Vizarded 12G1316 head)

<edit>
And the same motor, with 45DHLA Dellorto, 38mm chokes, on well ported Redline 3005 manifold:
Note the difference in torque curves-

Hey thanks for that Doc, i find these things interesting.

Question though: Why does it start at 4000rpm??

You wouldnt be doing 4000rpm power starts would you? :?

It is an ENGINE dyno, not a rolling road. The plot starts at 4000 because the primary purpose is to tune the engine for maximum HP.
Most race engines (no, this isn't one) have little power below 4000.
You could start at 3000 or less but there is really little point.
Actually we should have run this engine to 7000, because the HP was still climbing at 6500.

Here's this 1412 stroker on the dyno, but with a 45 Dellorto. We ran both this carby and then an HS6, the SU won on torque so that's what's going in the car.

HS6 SU and RE7 manifold, on a dummy block and head for clearance checking:

That's some good Torque you are getting Kevin. Glad Graham is making good use of the graphs :D

nice easy to read dyno graph for a change.

would be better to have a complete graph though, above 4000rpm says nothing about the driveability of the engine.

what makes you say that?
Most cammy race engines I've driven use 3000 to take off. Are you worried about the missing 1000rpm?

With the mountain of torque this 1412 has, I don't expect driveability to be an issue. Cam is only an RE13.
My 1360 with RE282 cam, 1.5 rockers and a 45 Dellorto will pull 4th gear from well below 2000 rpm on light throttle. And it has about another 10HP at crank.
