hey Guys just ordered a new motor from John at Mini King... (compliments of Danny my number 1 mechanic!)
1275 A+ Long Motor with only 22.000Kms!!
They're going to take out my 998 and drop in my 1275, get rid of my drum brakes at the front and replace with discs

is there a difference between the A and A+??
already have extractors, exhaust sytem and inlet manifold on my 998.
can these be put on the 1275?
is the difference from my 998 to 1275 going to be alot?

In answer to your other questions regarding intake and exhaust manifolds:

It depends

If you already have twin carbs, you'll be able to use these on the 1275 although many people will recommend either a 1-3/4" SU (HS6, HIF44) or 45DCOE Weber or Dellorto equivalent in which case you'd need a different intake manifold.

As for the exhaust, it depends on what you've got. A 1275 works best with LCB extractors into a 1-3/4" or 1-7/8" exhaust, so the short 3-1 type which usually find their way onto smallbores aren't ideal.

I only have a single SU 1.5 curently not sure on what size is the new one??
i have LCB extractors with a 1-3/4 so i'm set there!

You'll be able to bolt that onto the 1275 and it'll go alright, but will be short of its potential. Torque should be OK at lower revs, but it'll gasp for air beyond 4000rpm or so, and power will suffer.

You WILL need a different needle, though..

An HS6 on a GR manifold will just fit in there without any firewall cutting, an HIF won't.

YES, when I did mine I thought the speedo was reading way too fast as I couldn't believe it was accelerating that fast seriously for a month I thought the speedo was out .
