Hey Gaf, GR left the rat-shit on the crank after the last tappet adjustment and took out one of the neon tubes when he turned the motor over...... , you should have seen the both of us jump.. :D , we thought for a sec that it was a piston.

Yeah, thanks Pete for the use of your carby and manifold other wise the dyno would have had to wait, thankfully that set-up is identical to mine.. :D .

100hp with a stock head? That's amazing
What valve sizes does that one have? Is it equal to a late Cooper S head?

Cheers
Ronald

It's a stock Oz Morris 1100S (1275) head, early 12G940 casting, valve sizes 33mm intake and 29.4mm exhaust.
Late Cooper S was the same head, but had 35.6mm intakes and 2 extra stud holes.
Rockers used are the old 998 pressed steel type, spaced to suit a 1275, I offset bushed them .044" and they are now 1.31:1 ratio (measured with an RE13 cam).

Looking at GR's dyno, is the backing plate and clutch removed from the engine? Does this affect the balance of the engine at all during the runs?

Good news, the motor is in I just haven't had time to do an update, but I will have this done on the weekend.....promise...... :D . The motor seemed to go alright on the dyno and it spun up to 6500rpm without any worries so I guess the answer is no..thank god... :D .
