My daughter and I are doing a restore on her clubby - got carpets from Knox and i was a bit concerned about the bits that go over the front wheel arches. Your "How To" is a big help.........thankyou.

Replying to a very old thread, I know.

To remove the accelerator pedal to fit the carpet.. mine’s got nuts on the inside of the car (from memory) are these captive bolts or do I have to get under the car as well and do it from both sides? I know a mini’s small but not sure if I stretch around from inside near the acc pedal, to up under the body near the rack…

Suggestions?

mine had captive bolts. i think they are welded to the floor panel actually.
So no need to reach under the car

mine had one that seemed captive and the nut undid,

the other bolt just span on itself.. so i cut the carpet to fit around the bracket... the impatient one i am..

now it looks like i'm going to have to find the heads of those bolts anyways as the bracket seems to have a bit more movement than i'd like..
