It's hard to give a price as every head is differant..does depend on what is required to be fix, to what you require and how many hours it will take.
best to take what every you want done and ask the price.
I can only comment on GR work is Great quility and very reasnable on price and for this reason he is a very busy man and can take a little long to get it done
Yes I will be dropping a block of to him soon also..so get in quick

Finally got the engine block cleaned at Reddistrip in Blacktown (029831 6799) and I must admit it was well worth the money, just have a look at the results.

Even GR comented on the block when I dropped it off to him, and I got some other goodies , a nice AP racing clutch plate and an orange dot diaphram, GR's already got the diapram so no pic's but I got a couple of the plate.

That looks pretty nice, did they tell you what process or chemicals they used? It looks so clean it could be mistaken with being shot blasted.

Thanks for the comments guys, firstly Mick, they didn't tell me the chemicals they used but I know the process takes about 3 days and they use high pressure water guns on it in between dips, and yes it looks that clean it almost looks like it was shot blasted. even the threads are spotless... .
Kev and Gaf , Steve at Reddistrip charged $110 for the block only and like I said , money well spent, now its up to GR.... :D

Good idea to remove the big oilway plugs (4 on 1275 blocks, 2 on Cooper S and all the rest) too...
DON'T remove that little brass plug below the relief valve- as it can block the drain port if knocked in too hard.
