Mick they don't get any hotter than the oil, and there's nothing new about doing this- offset bushes were used in the UK for yonks until they started selling cheap hi-lift forged rockers.
I see some people there and in US are now fitting these bushes and claiming to get a 1.5:1 ratio- it just isn't so. Not enough metal there to do it.

If you are worried about whether they can move, I pressed one out once because I overbored it- they are just as hard to press out as the solid ones were to press in.

I bore all the rockers to clean up first, then make the bushes to have .001" interference fit.

I brought my rocker bushes as "1.5 ratio rocker bushes" from a guy on ebay. They are definatly not 1.5, maybe 1.29 if I am lucky.

Doc, could you bore the rockers out more, before you bush them? that way you could offset em more?

No, I'm already boring them to 1.710" to clean up, any more and they will be weakened.
As I said, calling those UK made offset bushes `1.5' is BS, they only have about .035" offset from memory. Mine are 0.044". 8)
