Just thought of something more rediculous with no V8 laws. You drive a 3.8 Jag MkII, but you owuldn't be able to drive a slower Daimler 250 V8. Wow, I love these silly laws.

Power to weight is a much better system. I'm glad they've done that with motorbikes (well here is SA anyways) as the system used to say up to 250cc. Turns out there are some real fast 250cc bikes around and some rather slow 500cc.

i dont think they see many P platers driving mercs and jags.

the v8/turbo law is specifically for holden, ford and imports (skylines etc)

which are the cars that really cause problems i reckon

I agree, but if all V8s are illegal then, it's still illegal to drive loads of old mercs and rollers and what not. Cops probably wouldn't ever bother you for it though.

I totally agree with the Holden, Ford and Skyline comment. Basically from what I've seen 99% of P plater problems come from Falcons, Commodores and Skylines.

I think the problem is caused by people that supercharge their cars and spend huge amounts of time bragging about how they burn of commodores in their big block. Isnt that right Spacepants
