John,,, a Sth African 1100 crank has 2" mains & 1-3/4 B-ends & only 72mm stroke (from memory)

I have 2x of them here & there are both in the process of becomming shortstroke-big bore Twinky donks

Probably the strongest "Factory" mini crank ever made

Does 10,000 rpms sound appealing???

Minimum weight is 630kg for FWD under 1300cc in the current SS rules. Is this still competitive in whatever competition you plan to enter, even with a short stroke screamer?

Cars like Warwick Agustin's 4AGE powered SS are around 450kg, not sure what Charlie Borg, Bob Bell and Andrew Bergen have built their Honda VTECs to.

Always looking for the answer to which class I would build my next car for ....

cheers

I can run with the MRA but as they are mostly based in NSW and I have w/end to play with I am aiming to play with the S/S boys here in Vic. 630kg / 1300cc is the bottom of the scale, the rules say min wheight for fwd = 630 inc driver, engine cap, 1300, 1600, 2000, 3500 turbo or upto 6lt. As a gen 3 might look a bitt funny hanging out of my mini I am opting for a start in under 1300 so that over time I can improve the spec on the car.
