Gerg

The pressed steel 998/1098 ones are nowhere near 1.3:1, 1.2:1 is more like it, if you are lucky. If you want yours to be made to be 1.31:1 with an RE13 cam, PM me.
Late 998 sintered ones I measured at 1.18:1,
Cooper S original forged ones only measured 1.16:1.
All were measured with an RE13 cam and new HD rocker shaft.

<edit> typos

Kev, you cant be serious.
998 rockers are around 1.1 (1.26max) :? Which ones gave you 1.8 ???

Did you mean 1.08 and 1.06?

Peter.

Peter sorry yes was a typo there. Now fixed.

I got-
1.16:1 with S rockers,
1.18:1 with sintered rockers
1.21:1 with 998/1098 rockers
1.31:1 with 998/1098 rockers and offset bushes (these gave me .365" actual valve lift at .016" clearance).

1.46:1 with Corolla rockers.

All these were with a new RE13 cam, new HD rocker shaft and .016" clearance.

The rocker ratio calcs use total lift at valve, including clearance.

ie.
rocker ratio = (valve lift + rocker clearance)/.290
where .290" = lift at cam lobe.

I know your rockers measure low on your head, I still don't know why.

Pete.

He got a set of 1100S `lumpy' rods from me (ex Cody, remember him?) after I lightened, balanced and straightened them.
They finished up weighing 650g, the same as A+ ones do. 8)
