I have new cones (I think  ) and Im waiting for the new shocks... I figured the cones are replaced by the HiLos.. thats not the case? The cones stay? How can the car be lowered if we are gonna cram in another piece of steel?? sorry for being so ignorant, spose I should wait till I pull it apart, if it doesnt make sense Im sure you'll here from me then ;)

HIlows replace the Cone Struts and are adjustable...Wind them out and you will remain High :?

....and wind them in and dump it ;)

Thought if I was going to upgrade the suspension, may as well go the whole way and put in new cones.. The old ones did look a bit tired when they were taken out...

I took my front rubber cones and the old cone struts out today, without using the compressor tool, and it was a little tricky but i got them out.. I wouldnt have been able to use the compressor tool thing anyways cos the rubber cones were full of crap from when the car got bead blasted... So i got the old rubbers out all i have to do now is get the strut off the rubber cone and replace it with the hi - los...

i just got hilows fitted to my car the other week and the handleing difference is unbeliveable! at the moment it is at a sutable ride hide untill it settles in abit but then i will be lowering ittill i find the perfect hit. i find that the falken tyres have got a fair bit of grip as my mini seems to stick to the road pritty good. but then again i havent had any different tyres on yet... wats the best set you can get for 12inch wheels and how much do they cost

Just got my new Gaz shocks today, only put the front ones in but boy can i see the difference. waiting for Karcraft to get the rods for the HiLo's and then i will be fitting them as well probably will end up just buying the cone compressor tool.

How firm are people setting there suspention is it just personal preference?
