Alright, the saga continues, I paid Kev a visit yesterday to drop off some rockers and a new heavy duty rocker shaft,( he was in the middle of welding on the beast), so that he can build me some of those fancy offset bushed rockers for my motor.
I should have taken my camera and a tape recorder so I could remember all the cool things that he was showing me, from the different types of rockers ,the dizzies, the repaires on the moke, all the motors he has on the boil and not to mention the "BLING" he has added to Barney  :D .It's going to take some more visits to soak it all in.. , thanks Kev.
Anyway I got some other stuff for the build, 1.75 su and some very nice gears from John during the week,

Took a trip over to see GR on Saturday to have the head cc'ed and see how he is going with my motor, so far the block is bored, the bottom end balanced and the cam ground, he's just got to finish the manifold and put the whole lot together... :D .Anyway I got a couple of pics of Graham cc'ing the head,(it turned out to be 22cc) .

Them's Graham's windows, not mine...
I found a new way to add light, use the angle grinder near a window...
I got a 50mm hole in centre and a dozen radial cracks. $48 later and the new glass is nice and clear!

Here's one of these rockers, shaft hole in bush is bored offset .044" after assembly.
Actual valve lift with an RE13 cam and .016" clearance is 0.365".

Nice to see all your work Gerg. Also nice to meet you on saturday at mini King. My box has been rebuilt now, just waiting on a ringear and starter motor and all will be sweet.

Ryan

Well, here we go, I got all motivated after watching Kev's motor on the dyno yesterday so I finally got started getting the old motor out. My plan is to get the motor and subframe out next weekend and spend the next 3 or 4 weekends repainting the engine bay and reconditioning the front streering and suspension, hopefully by the time I'm finished this GR will have my motor done and Glen at the mini king will have my gearbox finished. :D, I'll have to keep my fingers crossed that it all goes smoothly so I can get him back on the road by the end on Jan.
Here's the start

And this is a couple of hours later,(with a few cold ones to help me concentrate  )

Thank god for the guy who disigned the clubby front end.. 8) , and that will do for today, it's to hot, I have a date with a big screen TV and aircon..... :D
