I'd prefer to get a supercharger!!!!
the difference-
A turbo uses the spent exhaust gases, while supercharger uses a mechanical drive from the engine crankshaft.
The plus side u don’t have to cut away anything just bolt on a few pieces and you have your supercharger  also the supercharger with a small pulley it will spin faster, increasing boost. The supercharger will therefore work thru out the rev range, from idle to maximum revs, unlike turbo, that suffers from 'turbo lag' at low rpm.
the power from a 1275cc engine with compression ratio of 9:1 you can expect instant gains of about 30bhp!!

ps.. Then hook up a NOS kit

super chargers also take power from the moe motor has to drive the charger, like leaving your air con on!
turbos give you that kick in the back and keep you happy when is needle is flying up the tacho.
all depends on what you want,hills-superchrger..power out of corners
turbo for racing me says,as revs are always up,power is always ready

NA for racing, the power delivery of a turbo is not the best for a track

Have you forgot about your ride in my car at wakefield :D Its all about driver ability and car setup,, turbo is no hinder on track performance at all.

small engined turbo cars will always be quicker then small engined na cars even on a track,, remember the GTR's at bathurst,, the 1980's F1 cars ?? they all got banned as they were to quick.

Boost, it's the #2 replacement for displacement

I am kept in place by G-forces, not seatbelts

I only use the brakes so I can accelerate all over again....

Developed over a 5 year period at a cost in excess of $20 000. For your chance to own this amazing piece of engineering for a runaway price of only $5000 call Beau On 0412206900.

seriously.... my setup you dont have to cut any body! not all mini turbo setups require body mods.... look at the mirage motorsport website and check out their manifolds....

sure a supercharger has power from idle... but you dont experience the slap into the seat action a turbo gives when coming on boost....

furthermore, when in traffic, having less power down low is really good... means you dont charge into the car in front.... very easy to stay under 2500rpm in traffic....

and when your above 2700rpm your on full boost so when your thrashing it, your on boost all the time like a supercharger....

ultimately its horses for courses.... niether is better then the other, just different

Haha how could I forget that!  Just telling it as it is :P

Similar output NA vs Turbo motors, NA would be the one most racer's pick for the track...

I'll get you for this cause you said always :P

Kev's 1310 lapped quicker than Grants turbo on the track if i'm not mistaken? Yea, it all comes down to driver, car setup, turbo setup and any other factor you can add to the equation ;)

Just going with the general consensus on the subject
