to follow on matts spectcularly spot on lecture, a bit of real world data ..
this is a 1275 on a plus 40 overbore ,the first gt17 turbo back in 08.
running only 12 psi boost ,,and had NO FLOW through the intercooler on this test ....
notice the length of the rev range its over 100 lb.ft .
another facet of a turbo compared with a supercharger is economy ,this engine will return 40 to 45 mpg .

this is a new superflow dyno,(and measures losses on the down run ,so adds a measured amount not a percentage ,so in my opinion a lot more accurate than adding a percentage) .
