well i dont feel like chewing through fuel at 3500rpm and at the same time defenin myself with the loudness of the engine(at 100km/h).......i wanna cruise at 100km/h at between at least 2500-3000rpm.......what ratio will do this for me?

i dont know of any 4 cylinder cars that cruise below 3000 rpm

IMO... you don't wanna go too low on your final drive ratio on an 1100... else you may not get to 100kph in top gear... and you'll have a bugger of a time with even small inclines...

i think you'd have to keep a standard cam to have enough torque to set off

not trying to excite willy, but my TM magna used to do 130-odd at about 2500.... auto on overdrive.. :)
