Over here in Oz there is only one version, the RE-13- designed and ground by Russell Engineering.
You will have to ask KC what the difference is between his two..

I've heard a lot of mention of the re13 cam on this site but here in britain, there are two different re13 cams available through keith calver. Is it the re13pp or the re13ot that gets the good reviews? or do you have and like both?? http://www.gr8shop.co.uk/calverst/index ... c8c7920e56 i've bought an re13ot but have yet to get it fitted, there newly available over here so no one has much info on them. The description on the webpage you pointed us to suggests the RE13OT is more of a street cam than the PP RE13PP Quote: Developed for optimum street-sports use. Lumpy idle, pulls frm 2,500rpm clean through to 7,000rpm+. With the right cylinder head and induction system this cam will give blistering street performance and very competitive hillclimb/track day/ sprint performance. 1.5 rockers are required to maximise potential. RE13OT Quote: Developed for optimum street performance use where sports-torque is the main aim. Slightly lumpy idle, pulls hard from 2,000rpm to 6.000rpm in large-bore based engines. Performance is in the Piper 285/Kent286 sort of area but out-performs both for torque. Best performance given with 1.5 ratio rockers and a cylinder head with efficient portwork, but also gives better than can be expected performance with a mediocre cylinder head. Quality valve springs are essential.

J Yeah OK James- don't confuse him, yours is a special, has had the LCA increased a lot for turbo use... 
As I said above, only one version here, simply called RE13. This is a regrind on (your) stock or nearly so cam, but no cam kit here like KC sells.
I had one in my 1310, with 1.5 rockers and a 45DHLA Dellorto carb, it gave good power to near 8000 rpm. |

Thanks for that, i realise the re13ot is the milder of the two, just wanted to know which one was getting the great reviews. Power to 8K definitly sounds like you guys have the wilder of the two cams. I think i'll try and get in touch with russell engineering, it seems odd that a cam designed in oz isn't available there. I wonder if its actually an RE cam. |

I've actually got another cam here i should send to GR, I'm thinking a little more agressive on the intake should do it this time....then again, a little more overlap would certainly help cylinder filling at higher revs.........

Hey james your not the only one with a cam like that, 112deg is the same as mine for the super charged motor from graham. THe Re13 is a good alround cam but ti think the uk market might be slightly different and thats why him and piper might have come up with something different, ask keith. Ask graham russell also he will set you right with whatever you have or what ever you want as he has many different cam grinds for different uses. horses for courses. The RE13 was designed to go to 7700 but runs out of power at 6600 but its atill proiducing enough power and torque still to take it thru to 8000rpm. |

If you dont ask you will never find out so i asked and found out why he has 2 different profiles and Graham also has 2 different profiles but he doesnt tell you. It depends on wether your using the cam in a small bore or big bore motor and he will grind them differently to make them run correctly in your car. problem solved you can all go back to picking on someone else now. |
