I'm running 165/70R12's at the moment and they are 550mm in diameter..But they require you to raise the car alot..like 2" and grind the rear trailing arm. Turning circle is greatly reduced..probably by half. I used them as track tires as they were a race compound. So your tires would be about 235mm, so they would fit, but i would go for the Sime's at under ~$100 or the Yoko's if you wanted some grip for ~$150..limit yourself to 500mm.. |

You could try Sumitomo HTR200. I have them on my car I haven't really tested them out yet. But I read an article in Grassroots Motorsports magazine and they are supposed give pretty good performance and can't be beat for the price. I was going to buy some Yokos but something similar would have cost me about $200 per tire and the Sumitomos were $100. So I figured I would save some money and give them a shot. |

That's cool Makka. I understand where you're coming from. I considered that when I wrote it but you never know. They are a Japanese tire brand and maybe one of the tire shops there could order it. I had to have mine special ordered too. |

Thanks guys, Got a price on Yokis $118 each! ... thats cheap isnt it!? Bridgestones $180 each Couldnt find anyone who sells somotio's or sime tyres locally , makes me wonder what they would be worth if the yokis are only $118 each. |

not havin a go at ya makka I had Sumitomos on my Corolla and my old man has them on his Chev Silverado. We picked them up at TTF (The Tyre Factory). Good tyre, good value. |

Might be of interest but a mate of mine been a 'Tight Wad' fitted 175/55x13's to his mini and it's really upset the handling. Just wants to go straight (understeer) at any corner. Where as before it was like it was on rails with 175/50x13's ! |

what yokies are they for that price? the bridestones are made in france now so they are not cheap anymore. I know a few people with simes tires on there cars but none of them have anything great to say about the handling of them in wet or dry, they are just a cheap tyre. IM gonna have to start looing for new tires for my car soon and was looking at yokies but would like to know what tread pattern etc. |
