It's commented on frequently that a good 'upgrade' is to fit wet front upper arms to a dry car for a firmer ride. Anyone actually done this? Is the difference noticable? Is it a good thing? Or just a thing.... |

I've got Hydro top arms on my dry Deluxe ... definitely harsher.... I've deliberately fitted HARD sagged cones to mine too .... it corners like a brick. Definitely not a "comfort" mod, but certainly the same as uprating the springs a step or two .... J |

Wife's car (Barney) has a wet front subframe converted to dry, with good cones. Ride is a little firmer than a dry one (it has Konis) but not harsh. |

Is the difference something that's going to be measurable with them in situ? Or are we talking 1/16" or something. Just wondering if the pair in a race shell I have are wet or dry. |

it's only couple of mm I think, hard to see. If unmolested, the hydro ones have a ~9.0mm mounting hole in top arm, where dry ones are 3/8". ![]() But if already drilled out, hard to pick difference. |

These arms are already in a dry car, so would have been drilled if they're wet. Doesn't matter, I'll leave be and sell the wet arms. Thanks |
