Post subject: | Rear hub removal |
Not sure if this is in the right area .......... but anyway i have a question I need to put some spacers over the rear drums, I bought the right length wheel studs......now the day and a half of bitchin and swearin begins - getting the old ones out and the new ones in. I have found out that you need to remove the hubs to do this god forsaken task.... Is there an easy way to do this? Do I need a tool/puller? Would anyone in Brisbania happen to have one of these I could please borrow, beg, steal or hire? Should I replace any bearings or seals while I have the hub off? What grease should I use when repacking? and last but not least - are there any tips or tricks I should watch out for? Cheers Gerard |

Undo the hub nut, if the hub doesn't budge get/make a slide hammer/puller. Mine is scrap metal, the impact energy is provided by a dead Morris 1100 harmonic balancer. ![]() |

loosen the nut but leave on , then bolt wheel on and give it a kick or 10, if that fails slide hammer on a wheel stud. or bring it to my shop at morningside and i will tap it off 4 ya |
