is there anyway to change the gear ratio of my clubman to lower the revs and get more out of it as it sits on 100ks at 4000......if so what are the ratios? |

If your Clubbie is doing 4000 at 100KMH it's got the same diff (3.444) as a 1275 Cooper S already. As many Clubbies do. 4th gear in yours is exactly the same gearing as an S, but your 1-2-3 are slightly (5.5%) shorter. ![]() |

I thought the Ss had 3.7s in them and 3.44 was the normal diff for a non S. ![]() |

Nope. 850, 997-998 Cooper , & Mini Deluxe got the 3.765 diff. Cooper S got 3.444. ![]() Clubby 1098 with remote box was 3.647, the rodchange boxes mostly were 3.444. |

hothead, you're looking for a taller diff (final drive) ratio, something like 3.1:1 out of a rover mini, 2.9:1 aftermarket, or bigger wheels - but it'll make your car accelerate slower I believe brickworx readily supply taller diffs |

I think at 4000 RPM doing 100km/h you would have a 3.65 diff (assuming you have 10inch wheels). With a 3.44 diff you would be doing approx 106km/h. This is according to the tech section on the Hot Bricks website anyway. |
