I was just wondering what is a good size turbo for a 1275 with a 40thou bore, i only plan on running about 7psi. I have an IHI RHB32 sitting around here off an old suzuki but i'm thinking it's to small for a 1275 . |

The Metro turbo 1275 engines were fitted with T3's...... some people change them to T2's to considerably improve the spool up time, acceleration, and engine life (less revs used).... but this limits the engine's overall top speed. A T3 is probably the right size regardless - a T4 is too damn big

Flow would be a little small IMHO Maybe try a TD04 off a Mitsubishi? Kazjim used a RHB-4 to get 75hp at the wheels from a 998! See here: http://forums.ausmini.com/viewtopic.php?t=17743&start=15 |

Have a look at the CT9 off the GT Starlet. Good size and plenty of power. Plus, people basically thow them out so there are lpenty of them around when you blow it up. |

I`d go for the newer ball bearing type GT28R, well, that`s the one i`m using anyways  maybe that might sound a little bias then

Agree with the Gt28 or a used T28 orT25G from an Sr20 used one in a E15(ET turbo) and it spooled up just as quick as the standard T2 with heaps more midrange and top-end Another choice would be an IHI RHB5 from an 1.8 laser or WRX Im not too clear on which origin. |
