Certainly is possible, I stuck one on my 998 automatic and it made a difference. ![]() Best to deck it a bit first, the head volume is a little bigger so would lower C/R if you just bolt it on. I'd rip .050" off.... ![]() |

It's what I run on mine. Externally my car is a very original '69 MKII 850. Probably the only visual mods are the 1.5" carb and the reverse rims. However that didn't give me any qualms installing a better cam and 202 head(cc'd). Makes the car a LOT more drivable in modern traffic. In fact most of our club don't believe me it's still 850 ![]() |

i put a 12g295 head on my 850, I would say 30% more power, the car did 80+MPH as a stock (no rebore) 850 with 1 mod, This head. |

Try it with single leading edge brakes on a standard 850 ..... I know the 1100 etc head will fit onto an 850 block (running one in the sports 850 at present , but what about a 12g940 head , I don't think they are a straight bolt on even with pockets in the block for the valves , any ideas ? Wondering just what I can get out of a thrash 850 motor .... |

you should try single leading shoes with an 1100 ![]() ![]() |
