i was just wondering what pulsar dizzies actually do as everyone is talking about them? |

They are electronic, basically, less moving parts, no wear, better spark, consistent timing and not really affected by water to the extent that points are. A distributor is what tells each spark plug to spark and when to do it. |

I can vouch for them making a difference. When I put the pulsar on after the lucas, it suddenly transformed the car into a much more easily drivable car. It was previously a cammy, grumpy weber fed nightmare. It made a big difference down low. I don't drive mine a lot and rarely in the rain so the advantage of the better weather protection wasn't as big an issue but certainly would be for a daily driver. KB |
