Hi: I'm a newbie to the site - quite impressed, very handy to have local knowledge.

Been reading the recent threads on halogen headlights, and I am thinking of fitting some.

The threads indicate that Wipac Halogen kits (eg available from MiniSpares or MiniSports) may be expensive, but they are probably better than a simple replacement obtained from Supacheap. Is that right?

How easy are the Wipacs to fit? Has anyone done it, any tips / tricks.

Go easy, my technical / electrical knowledge could be written on a postage stamp.

Buy the Wipacs, about 30 quid a set, if you can't fit them in 30 mins you are not trying..
<edit> you will need to take the trim rings off the outside of your sealed beams and re-use them.

Put a twin headlamp relay in too- makes 'em brighter and takes 10A (est) load off your switchgear.
See my other thread. 8)
