"How to Modify Your Mini", by David Vizard has an oversize chart in the blocks and crank section, page 87 to be precise. Also has combination of stroke and bore, so us lazy people don't have to work it out! Says you can fit Imp pistons (Hillman Imp I pressume) and if you go +.040 Imp pistons on a 1098 you can get 1251, that would be rather impressive but may be a bit too big, grab a copy of the book (if you don't already have it) and read up on this section.

the laws may be a little tighter, but we dont have roadworthys. If I can keep of the loud pedal around the cops and dont get defected and sent to regency(inspection place) I should be ok

I have built a few of these motors over the years using Imp standard 68.0mm pistons (back when 1275s were rarer).
It's pretty easy to break into the main oilway from oil pump at back of block with these pistons, never mind +.040" ones..
If you wanna go this big these days, find a 1275...

Good Imp pistons suitable for a thrashing are bloody dear now, I got quoted A$800 for a set of UK ones a while back.
Imp parts in Australia have pretty well dried up. As my brother found out whilst restoring his Imp. 8)

yamaha pistons form early 80's bike ill find the bike but its a 750cc and has the same crown height and bore size is 68mm.
easy stuff as they are forged and will handle the revs and heat.
did a conversion years ago with a 998 motor and a set of these, it was quick and has never had any hassles in about 500 1/4 mile runs its has had.
