Post subject:  Fuel injected, turbo, 998 finally done.

After a few weeks of hard work my mini is finally done.

Short list:

Haltech E6x
KKK K03 turbo
300Z intercooler
GM coils off an 98 Comaro with a LS1
Custom intake
Custom Header
Custom everything else.

I'm sure I went through about 5 powerband blades and a whole box of welding rod. For a point there I thought that the welding would never end. Since cash flow was low I had to make everything from the exhaust and intake flanges to the fuel rail. The only things I didnt make is the Blow off vlave and the turbo. The intercooler was too big to fit in the grill (shocker) so that had to be cut down, and I moved the radiator to the fender and put an electric fan in the wheel well to give me more clearence for the IC piping.

It was a ton of work, but hopefully I can get the little motor in the 120hp range. Hopefully I'll have some power graphs in a few weeks.

The car remains un-molested, except that I had to make the hole in the right inner fender slightly larger.

Cheers,

-Sean

Now that's impressive , good luck with the power figures , waiting to see what you've achieved must be frustrating ....

Looking great.

Please let the rest of us EFI-interested people know how you go with mixtures between inner and outer cylinders. If you are running sequential you could be alright and I would like to know the tricks for getting the E6X set up correctly. If you are using group fire for injectors, watch out for lean out on cylinders 2 & 3.

My own EFI project is shelved while I see how successfully it can be done and I want to use the same computer.

Looks great.

One thing I might look at developing further is getting the blow off vavle closer to the thottle body or at least somewhere inbetween the i/cooler the throttle body.
