the 1st one with covers, LH one is 850/998/1098,
yellow one is 1275S or late clubby 998.

The motor with no covers is a non-S 1275, they were all like this except the Cooper S.

Look for the engine number which is cut out of a flat bit at the top of the block (where the 4 cylinders are. It is located at one corner and it will start with something like 10 or 12 or 9
