| Post subject: | Dash Clock |
Hi guys! I picked up a dash cluster from P'n'P yesterday. It has a clock in the place of a tacho. The clock works, but needs calibration. It thinks it takes 40 seconds to complete 1 minute. How do I calibrate this thing? Also, I picked up a standard mini tacho that i found lying around. Will it be easy for me to get this running without the PCB? I ve only got the PCB that is for the 3 gauge with CLOCK (not the 3 gauge with TACHO). |

1. smear abit of glue at the centre maybe thatll slow it down 2. are you afraid to pop it out 3. on pocket watches theres an adjuster on the back, what kind of power does the clock run on hows the van comin along ray, anypics |

Duc: i have popped it out, but havent had a look at any "adjusters" van is going well...im building fromthe bottom up...i've almost got the subframes sorted out, the engine is ready to be put into the subframe, then i gotta work on the body to sit it on top. The front floor is finally in!! (i learnt how to weld). you can check out SOME stuff at www.freewebs.com/monrel Gafmo: i've already got a two clock dash (two glass pieces), and i got two more with the one i picked up from Pik'n'pay. That make 4 pieces of glass!!! Only thing is that the clock needs a hole in the glass, but that's ok, my uncle is a glazier and can get one of his buddies to drill it or whatever they do to put holes in glass. |

not sure how the clock is powered. it shares a grounding point with the rest of the stuff on the PCB, but the power wire is seperate from the PCB, it has a male spade terminal screwed on the back of the clock. not sure which wire goes to this, and how many volts. but as i said, i've thrown all kinds of volts at it, and it keeps the same calibration. i guess that is a good thing, since their is a lot of fluctuation in the voltage source in the car. |

I had a clubby tacho in my car for a short while, and didnt have the PCB for it, so, yup it can be done. I think there are 3 wires? one to the coil, one to positive, and a ground I guess? its been so long!  then you need some power for the bulb.

The one to the Coil is connected to the Negative Pole

thanks guys! so for the tacho: one wire goes to negatice post on the coil one wire goes to the positive terminal of the battery? one wire goes to ground is that right?? |

One does not need to go to the battery but a continuse live feed..Say yourfuse box would be better |
