check out this website: http://minimikebc.tripod.com/ Dont think you will find a workshop to do it, to do mine i had to do a heap myself, no one likes working on minis anymore, especially when a engine conversion is needed. |

well i a engine conversion isnt needed... i want it to be FAST though..(i still have one point left on my licence ![]() i have paid for a rebuild motor and gearbox on the 76 clubby i have and that wasnt cheap at all.. so i thought why not pay a lil extra and get a conversion, but if anyone has a damn fast mini motor and gearbox they would like to sell me fell free to offer...?? |

I know 1600 honda civic engine will fit, takes a bit of work though. Is that the same as the '86 acura engine? |

im with Harley on this one.. If you're not going to make it go Fast, why make it go at all? rebuilding the 998 was very expensive, it may be reliable but it is SLOW! |

There's plenty of options for a quick mini. Rotary, gas turbine, nitrous, motorbike engine. |

yeah i originaly was thinkin a 13b, but i want to keep it front wheel drive to keep the cost down a little, so tryin to find a gearbox that could handle the torque from a rotor is another problemo.. |

13 x 7 superlites are sitting in my loungeroom waiting to be fitted as well as the koni adjustables.. so grip wont be too bad, im still waitin to see if the van will have to be tubbed for the wheels and new suspension to fit, as the koni's are a dry suspension, hopefuly to regain the mini effect after fittin the 13 x 7s as i have heard the handlin is crap house, pardon my french... |

I think 13B is illegal in Mini now, weight/cc limits. 12A would be sweet enough, in a Mini... ![]() ![]() <edit> Problem is weight transfer. Rotor is pretty light, so traction is going to be a prob.. regardless of tyre size. ![]() ![]() |

vtecs need the front end of a roundie to be extended by a few inches....they can fit in a clubby without any external body mods....but its not suppsed to be easy |

I know a guy in melbourne doing a vtec, and there is already a hillclimb car in melbourne. The front doesn't need to be extended, but some serious cutting of the firewall and crossmember is required if you want to use the standard injection body. I'm using a non-vtec honda carb motor on my conversion, and I reckon a pair of IDA/IDF webers will be the go. |

Yes it fits but be ready for the cost. You need to straighten the natural tilt of the VTEC engine, once it's sitting up straight you need to remodel the inlet manifold to clear the fire/cross member and on mine I've gone to a log (inefficient) exhaust manifold and T28 to get the pipes down the front on the RHS saves 'most' of the body remodel. good luck PS youll need bigger brakes. On 13" try volvo calipers/ starrion disks (massive brakes) on 10" I use moded 215 dia vented with single pot setup. Also run your fuel lines in now! and set up an intank pump. |

yeha but it does need to be extended if you dont wanna cut the firewall ![]() there was a vtec clubby in miniworld a while back that looked like it was a factory install and it was all done by some old guy in his back shed ![]() |
