Ok over the last 2 weeks ive had off,
ive connected up a VL fuel pump, VT commo steel fuel lines, modified the fuel tank..
made up a custom bracket for the radiator, went hunting out the back of REPCO for about half an hour searching through all the rad hoses finding the right ones, cold chisled the tunnel section where the selctor bolts to, out of a swift and welded it to the mini tunnel, (some sections needed to be removed from the mini tunnel) i dont this today actually, and shortened the selector shaft to suit obviously..

umm i also chopped the top off the suzuki accelerator pedal and welded it to my mini pedal, did all the things like mounting the coil, overflow tank, a few relays, had to extend the alternator wires and coil wires, modified the gearbox mount again, welded a peice of sheet metal over the existing air duct hole where the big plastic air duct thing went on the drivers side inner guard, and also another peice where the rad used to be, just covering the bottem half of the grill section..

ive just got one small problem  it doesnt start :( i dont know why not, ive double checked everything, the computer is fine, got spark, fuel, but i dont think the injectors are pulsing.. it just turns over but doesnt even hint to start... ill be taking it down to work hopfully this week or the week after and try and get it going.. heres a few pics of this and that.. :)

i know most of you are probably thinging what the hell at the gear stick pic, all i had today was an arc welder, its only just tacked on until my mate can come round with his mig and do it properly..

keep in mind that ive done everything myself, (except the subframe) i havnt had one bit of help from anyone.. not bad for a 19yo 2nd yr mechanic :P

Who did you buy your frame off?

Also, where is the alternator mounted?

looks great, well done.

Check that everything that needs to be earthed is earthed. There is a wire that comes of the throttle body somewhere that needs to be earthed, chris (twincammmini) had the same problem.

Have you got driveshafts made up yet?? radiator looks great also.

whitestriped, i bought it of a friend from sydney, Dennis Turner :?

brad, yeah ive gota go through everything and make sure things are all ok, i havnt wired the fuel pump up properly, i just conected it with some speaker wire straight to the battery, (i was so eager to hear it run, its been over 6 months) hehe but ahh no drive shafts as yet, but i have to sort out my clutch hydro setup first, just need to somehow mount the slave cyl.. and brakes.. gota do them to.. (just lines and hoses)..

The alternator is mounted from the inner guard.. i was told to use a 5" x 1/2" HT bolt, and just made a little peice of steel up so it bolts to the side of the head (between and just down a bit in the camshaft gears) .. the head of the bolt just fits in between the alloy casing section there... and just made up a bracket which goes from the outside lug to an existing engine mount bracket underneath the intake.. well beside it..
