Just a technical point I want to sort out. Can you use the rocker gear from an A series head in conjunction with an A+ cylinder head ? meaning are they interchangeable or do you specifically have to use A+ with A+?

Cheers,

Yes, they'll come over fine.

Yes you can- forged, pressed steel, and sintered A+ are all interchangeable, on either an A or A+ head.

Lift ratios I measured recently (with RE13 cam):
Forged Cooper S 1.16:1
Sintered A+ 1.18:1
Pressed steel (850/998/1098) 1.21:1.

All these were measured on the same rocker posts and with a new HD rocker shaft.

Note if fitting smallbore rockers to a 1275 you usually have to put a flat washer next to the exhaust rockers, to align them better to the (offset) valves.

Yep,
I put my 1.5:1 minisport ones from my 998 A series to my A+ 1275. :-)
My 2 cents
Cheers
