Can this be done? I know about the mods to the block for Auto to manual conversion, as per the good Docs sticky; but are small journal 1100S cranks narrow across the centre main like an S crank?

Will I need to thin the thrusts ? :?

PS I did a basic topic search, but did not find an answer to this one!

Hi Graham,

I am not 100% sure but i am sure that the large journal crank from 1100 "S" is the same as the small journal 1100 "S" crank.

but I could be wrong.

Graham, it drops straight in with std thrusts. Mains on small and large J cranks are the same.

You only need thicker thrusts if putting non-S crank into an S block, or thinner thrusts if putting a S crank into any 1275 non-S block (like my 1360).

Good to see another 1275 auto block being resurrected as a manual.

Animal the Nb that Matt68 now owns has an auto block. I went through about manual 5 blocks to find a block suitable for 020 bore.

I have a good std bore 1275 auto block here if anybody needs one. Would clean up at +.020" no problem.
