if u want easy boost. get that supercharger kit. that, IS the easiet way to boost ur car i reckon. turbo's and carby motors are alot of messing around IMO, but not to say it can't be done. PM kazjim about turbo's. and well ring ben about the supercharger kit. all i can say is he has his 998 running 14.7's on 14psi. anyone know what 998's do stock? ![]() |

well i prefer turbo's . but it is alot of stuffing around. look at it this way a supercharger uses power to make power (crank driven) and a turbo uses waste energy (exhaust) to make power although when the turbo isnt matched to the engine properly can be alot of turbo lag. but i love the feel of the turbo kicking ya in the back when it comes on boost. |

i have personally had the pleasure to drive alot of different cars, turbo and superchargered! i have driven 300kw supercharged jags(AWSOME), 171kw commys, wrx's soarers and of coares volvos!, if u are to have it as a fast street car, for comfort aswell, i would go the super charger, smooth on power, and smooth of power if u get what i mean!, (nicer power band aswell, and easier to control!!!) but if u want the "hectic BOV" noise then go the turbo! i actually want to do a wicked suoercharger conversion on a 1310 or bigger! (but funds rule) just my preference!! good luck either way!!! blake ![]() |

okay if you go turbo, you have the choice of a factory turbo set up from the metro, and you don't need extractors. if you supercharge its going to have to be a custom job if you're doing a custom, then you have to choose a blow through or suck through set up. |

Post subject: | turbo or blower |
it is true why not go for both ive seen it done on me mates bro's rotary 323 blower then at a certain rpm it switches off ( clutch type) and the big turbo does the work. maybe not practical for a mini but still an idea the same |
