A Spridget race guy in US has had 10 of these heads cast and machined.
I saw one at GR's recently, it is Mini Porn!!
The word was no more would be made, but a thread on MM forum indicates there may be another 10 coming, maybe not..
anyhow... enjoy. :P

That's not bad, considering an Elder 8 port will cost you near $4K installed and running.
Don't forget the Weslake head needs manifolds, valves, springs etc added though, on an Elder they are included.

What's better the Elder or the Weslake?

Weslake, GR says. Inlet ports are far better than any other 7 or 8 port.
The old iron Weslakes were great back in the 60s, but they used to crack.
Ivan Glasby has one of those on his race car.

Is this because of the angle of the port directly behind the inlet valve? In the Vizard book he talks about boring holes down through the top of a standard 5 port head which would end up with a similar design. I've heard of this being done with other heads but I've never seen a mini one done, and I can't work out where you could do this on a 5 port, as eveything seems to be in the way.

You need to see the ports in these to appreciate what Graham means. The air entry to the inlet valve throat is magic.
And Vizard was just talking about 2 siamesed ports, where this has 4.

Inlet port reminds me of the Alfa twin cam. Without valves you can see right through the inlet, chamber and exhaust ports.

Very nice indeed.

I've seen that done with varying results on UK cortina's (one looked good but was seriously let down by the guys engineering skills - body steel silastic'ed over the old ports does not make an effective seal  ) and wondered if it was possible with a mini head but like you couldn't see how it could be done with everythi9ng in the road .
