Its proberly on here somewhere.....but I cannot find........I hav a 22g1128 remote gearbox off a 998 aussie assembled mini.....I am wanting to know if i can put a 1300 mini engine on the box........My current mini has the same box #,......I hav heard that there is a difference in the casting of some boxes small engine to large engine.... is there a difference in these???? they are both made by mowog..... I dunno wat else to say Please help?

a 1275/1300 bolts straight on there. A series or A+, no difference.
I used one under my 1412 stroker when I ran it on the engine dyno, it was a stock Mini-K case. Also these were used here for Mk2 1275S and early 1098 Clubby.

It's the 3 synchro boxes that often need fettling (sometimes major) for a 1275 to fit. :wink:

I agree, we never put 998 motors onto this box. :wink:
By the time the Clubby here got the UK `99H' 998 motors we were using rodchange boxes.

Thanks.... the engine its bolted to has a 99#@^& tag on it. Could had been changed at some time....lots of gasket sealent used. I guess with the slightly longer stroke of the 1100 it has the clearence Im looking for........If the crank dont turn when I put it on there will be trouble.......hehehe

Brik nuts,,, just don`t forget that if you`re going to put a 1275 or bigger engine onto it, then make sure the gearbox is actually in good nick first ... & also you will need the 1275 type primary gear to suit it too
