Will i need to make a box into my firewall (similar to a weber box) to fit the carby inlet piping? Any help would be appreciated.... I have the turbo sitting over my clutch as is so I know I dont have to cut the firewall down the bottom and across the crossmember, but above it???? |

You won't have to if you have a metro turbo plenum. |

Not a Lot of room, but I'm using a standard 1275 cast-iron inlet (separated from an exhaust) I think its a bit better flowing than the metro one..... definitely larger runners and looks to be more volume too..... J |

i thin its going to be a REAL tight sqeezeas I have just set up a HIF44 (non turbo) on a mini spares manifold... Might have to make a custom plenum.... There is only like 2 inches sace behind the inlet... ![]() |

Metro turbo plenum is pretty thin, anyhow it's narrow- should fit in the firewall hole without cutting. ![]() ![]() |

I think a 50 is fair. Not that common over here. ![]() |

damn... i wont be needing any of that anymore... i'm using Screaming performace in the gong to do the work and they have the parts to convert my weber to turbo.... apparently tey have done quite a number of turbo setups using webers before.... ![]() I am getting new manifolds made so if anyone is interested, pm me for prices on the old ones... ![]() New ones are all stainless, will keep the engine steadies in place and he is making a custom cooler for the front grill... well its replacing the front grill... ![]() ![]() |
