Post subject:  Which Suspension To Use

Hey guys I have got some 13 X 7 performance superlites for my 68 mini van, and the suspension need to be replaced? Which is the best way to go? Adjustables? OR?
Cheers

are you running a dry or wet car?? if dry then it would pay to get a set of hi-los even for just the fronts, also a set of adjustable shocks for the front, set them fairly firm as you will find you will be scraping your gurads on the smalleest of bumps. rears should be ok if its a dry car as they are set fairly high anyway, what flares are you running with them?

The ones that were on the were the oil filled hydro ones?? I have a zeemax kit to cover the wheels, the van just went in yesterday to the bead blaster to get a little clean up, then off the the panel shop to fit and mod the kit. The wheels do stick out just under 4 inches from the guard, and i didnt just want to get those big flares so i went for the total zeemax kit :D

Brad all vans were dry suspension.
I'd fit Hi-Los all round, and adjustable shocks. 8)

Watch out for MIniSport Adjusta Rides (Hi-Lo clones), they take funny size knuckle joints- stock Mini ones are way too loose a fit. :x

Ok so i have a new set of koni adjustables to fit..
The koni's fit straight on, so where and what do the HI-Los do?

the hi-los allow you to set your ride height, the shocks will not do this, they just adjust the amount of damper you have. Put your wheels on and see where the car is sitting, if it is to low at the front then fit hi-los to lift it up.

Hi-los go on your rubber cones.
