Quick question on the lowest (numerical) ratio that can be used with the QUAIFE LSD. From the bit of information I've gathered 3.44 appears to be the lowest usable without mass modification? Is this correct and if you do/can go lower how much work is involved.
Thanks
Pete

Looking at the pic of pristic's Quaife with a 3.7 on, it's just a standard crownwheel. Not bored out inside at all like some other LSDs.
I don't see why you couldn't even run a 2.7, if you wanted to (I wouldn't.. )

the Doc is right the latest style of Quaife ATD diffs use the STD crwon wheel so you can use any mini diff ratio available.

best and cheepest place to get them is swiftune in UK, i got mine just before the credit cruch and it was $1320

Thats a good to hear as I was reading some posts on The Mini Forum stating that this wasn't so, obviously the old style must of been the subject of conversation. Costing me roughly $1185 Aus through Mini Sport UK, not including postage though it was only one item in a fairly large order so they gave a bit of a discount. Thankfully the Aus dollar hasn't suffered to bad against the pound, compared to the US dollar anyway. Thanks for the input. :)
