Anyone used or had any experience with "Magnom" type Oil filter trap ?, Its a screw on boss type arrangement that the filter screws to thats magnetic ?,

Thoughts ?

There is other metal that comes out of g/boxes and engs that is not magnetic. can cause just as much damage.

I guess thats why a conventinal filter is fitted also ?,

extra protection............ :lol:

Buy a rare earth magnet and stick that to the side of your oil filter. Same thing works wonders.

Thanks Mini Mad, That was also suggest to me aswell, Was just curious if anyone had actually used this type of product ?

Also 13's on the quater in a mini regardless of it propolusion is rather impressive !, Nice work

Since I started putting rare earth 25 dia x 10 thick magnets on my filter I get SFA on the sump plug magnet. :D
Try it, then cut the spin-on filter up for a look, you will be amazed.. :shock:
The trouble with that Magnom thing is you have to remove & clean the bastard every filter change. :x
With these rare earth magnets you just have to remember to whack 'em onto the new filter.
They just cling on the finger grips near the bottom, no other attachment required.
