Yep Ryco Z418 is right, is also used on Toyota V6 Camry, V6 Prado and some GM products.
I buy the equivalent Cooper 1035 in bulk, 12 at a time, it's much cheaper.

Doc - weren't you using a VW one or something - same top but longer body to give bigger filter area?

Nope, but I'm aware the early Golfs do fit, as long as you don't have a reverse light switch in a magic wand or remote box. They are longer.

Anyway the Mini Z418 one is big enough, if it'll clean a V6 Camry and GM 5.7L... I add a 25 dia x 10mm rare earth magnet to the outside to grab the fine stuff that goes round.. and round.. and ...

PLEASE use any other brand than Ryco for the time being - I know of a few that have disintegrated and ruined engines. Use another brand for a while until they get the diaphragms sorted out.

I'd be using Cooper, AC Delco, even K&N....

Just trying to save some headaches!

The ryco number for the VW size filter is z553, good for catching synchro rings
