I'm not sure what to use but make sure it won't damage the seals in the bearings.

If you really need to clean it, I would pull the rotors out first... for reason above.

How do you get carbon build up on a supercharger? There should only have been fresh air running through it :?

yeah thats what im thinking. everything rotates freely and cleanly

The build up is from the PCV system.
All the engine vents feed back through the inlet on the emissions control systems on Jap (modern) cars.

Not really something I would bother about trying to clean

I changed the head on my car last weekend and as such took the blower off.

Mine was very clean on the inside. You could eat off of it! (Although it may taste a bit petroley) Unlike the outside of it which was filthy!

Basically, if it moves freely I wouldn't bother cleaning it, it should clean as it runs with all that petrol flowing through.

I was worried that the carb cleaner might attack the seals? nasty stuff I cleaned the carb out with it and burnt a big patch on the lawn. still hasn't grown back.. Wife doesn't like it.
