Hi, l am new to the forum and have a 62 mini which l am putting a daihatsu k3-ve2 engine on the mini gearbox.l have quaife LSD,sc down gears with big bearing idler.What else would need to be strenghtened in standard rod change box ?Any help much appreciated. :D

I've split this off from the 'gearbox power loss' thread, it'll get a bit lost in there... but left it in A series mods because it's an A series gearbox querstion...

what sort of flywheel power do you expect from the daihatsu motor?

Oh and Simon shouldn't this be in "engine conversions" not "A series mods" as it is an engine conversion and not a modification to an A series engine :?: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hi,
There is a bit of work to be done on gearbox but will be straight forward to do. Standard Daihatsu engine is 110hp at crank but should make more with better exhaust(no converter) :D

speedy... if you stuck with the Sirion gearbox, you could go awd...
