Hi, l am new to the forum and have a 62 mini which l am putting a daihatsu k3-ve2 engine on the mini gearbox.l have quaife LSD,sc down gears with big bearing idler.What else would need to be strenghtened in standard rod change box ?Any help much appreciated. ![]() |

I've split this off from the 'gearbox power loss' thread, it'll get a bit lost in there... but left it in A series mods because it's an A series gearbox querstion... what sort of flywheel power do you expect from the daihatsu motor? |

Pics please. Oh and Simon shouldn't this be in "engine conversions" not "A series mods" as it is an engine conversion and not a modification to an A series engine ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Hi, There is a bit of work to be done on gearbox but will be straight forward to do. Standard Daihatsu engine is 110hp at crank but should make more with better exhaust(no converter) ![]() |
