Hey all looking at the cam listed in the for sale section Question is is there different cams between 1275 and 1098 ? Probably a silly question but one that had to be asked ! Cheers Jamie ![]() |

A 1275 cam can be fitted to a 1098 no worries Standard the small bore cams only have 3/8' wide lobes where as a 1275 has 1/2' wide lobes which are better. Any decent cam grinder will stamp the end of the cam to tell what the cam has been ground to. |

Note that Cooper S pin drive oil pumps are now NLA, and so are the spider (star) adaptors for Morris 1100S/Mini 1275LS to fit their splined shaft pump. I have steel laser cut adaptors in stock which will convert either type cam to take the 1275A+ slot drive pump. These pumps are the most commonly available now. Hey kev,,, i think i will have to order a few of these adaptors from you (like maybe 10) ,,, i`m running out of spider cams & need to set up small bore cams into the Bimmer engines , by cutting all the lobes off them & fit those adaptors should do the trick & i can use the late slot drive pumps then i`ll bell you next week sometime if that`s ok? cheers |
