hey guys, im just wondering if anyone knows of a place in tasmania that can make custom turbo manifolds for minis i need one that leads the above the flywheel casing, like this mini.>>>

i don't know of any place specific but have you tried asking your local exhaust shops? they might be able to help or point you in the right direction? |

thanks, yea i got told to check out a place in moonah, i dont know if i cen say business names on the forum but they suggested buying precut pieces and getting a face plate made then welding it up myself thanks for the reply |

What size turbo are you planning on running? As a T2 should fit down behind the motor without a problem, and would be much simpler. Does it really need to go over the clutch housing? The extra work involved in making the manifold to fit over the clutch cover may not be worth the trouble, when there are lots of other options around. Remember that the longer the runner to the turbo the more lag you will have to a degree. This is the one I’m about to use and is a hybrid Garrett GT25R, so basically the same as the one in your pic but with the use of a injected Rover subframe will fit behind the motor without fire wall mods. As the motor sits about 10mm or so forward in the injected frame.

yea it does look alot better but im worried about the space behind my engine, its 64 850 and theres just not much room back there 
ive got a guy at work who helping me build the manifold and hes done a few so hopefully it doesnt effect anything to much |

You could move the engine forward an inch at the bottom mounts. Just use a late model rover stabiliser?

yea, its lot more mucking around then the custom manifold, the other reason i was doing side mounting is for ease or acces to the turbo for maintenance. |
