them heads are meant to be pretty good, the mini spares ones that is in uk.

when you import you will pay tax as the postage is 100 pounds they are really heavy

+ gst import tax & some thing else that im not sure it is either 25% or 35% of the total but still pretty good deal. :)

im sure you can get something cheaper if you need it now. :)

Get a stock 12G940 head, get it ported out & gasflowed here by Matt Read, Graham Russell or someone else, and fit new bits as per that spec.
You won't pay $$$ for freight from UK then.

ok so i have access to a 12g940 head with some minor work to it

what would further porting cost (ballpark as i know this is as long as a string)

same with putting bigger valves in (or would the 1.5rockers reduce the need for this)

thing is the head thats coming off (damaged) is pretty well worked and i don't really want to downgrade.

for a decent head with oversize valves, new seats, port and polish you wont get much change from $1500 if you are lucky. Check with customs. There are a few loopholes for importing parts, especially for items receipted under $1000. Have a sympathetic retailer in UK will save you heaps. I have imported lots of things for my lotus and all have ended up tax free.
