Post subject: | Alloy Timing Plate |
Have been looking for an alloy timing plate (end plate) for my upcoming rebuild, similar to the MED one: http://www.med-engineering.co.uk/product_details.php?p_id=546&vlang_id=589 Does anyone know of someone in Australia who makes/sells something similar? Otherwise postage will be a bitch. |

maybe - I'll rough one out and get a quote.... but it'll be an A type, not an A+ with the extra bit for a tensioner |

arrrm, I dont want to sound like a party pooper but WHY? I gives you no extra HP, you cant see it once installed & it costs money you could spend on far more usefull items. A real waste of time in my opinion. ![]() |

I hope the alternator does not vibrate some cracks into its mounting point. |

If its that lightweight postage shouldnt be too bad. And if you get a batch cut then you can sell them off, the more you buy the cheaper it usually ends up per item. |

Why not roar a few lightening holes in a standard plate in the appropriate spots so the oil won't get out.....thats what I did to save a few grams. Oh, and visit the toilet before the race, that always gets rid of a bit of weight! ![]() |
