Hi Guys,
Anyone got any thoughts on toothed-belt drive for water pump and alternator?

Cheers.

Waste of time.
If I was to bother converting to a different type of belt, it'd be a poly ribbed vee.

I bet the toothed belt drive would sound a whole lot better thou.

Hmmm. Yes to all the above. Was thinking toothed-belt so that I can keep the alternator spinning without flogging-out the water-pump bearing.

nah..... our water pumps do fine don't they?

you can buy a toothed belt drive kit from minispares etc. but they run a pair of belts, one up to the water pump, then another from the water pump to the alternator

Had a 2inch gilmer drive setup on the supercharged black car. Sounded friggen awesome. Anyone who saw the car at the muster (the commentator had me firing it up all day) Unless you have a blower on it probably not much advantage but worth the expense just for the sound it made.
